Those Sturges-directed films played at SAM a couple years back in a great series. Where were ya?

Both Conquering and Christmas are great, though don't quite scale the heights that Lady Eve and Sullivan's reach. Still, both are among the best sound comedies ever made.

I have no excuse for not having seen any of these. they're all readily available, and in fact I own Christmas in July, have Remember the Night on the tivo (along with The Sin of Harold Diddlebock) and Hail the Conquering Hero is on the Instant Netflix.
